Superpower

It’s Fun Friday!

What is Fun Friday? It’s the day of the week were we post something more lighthearted and less weighty-hearted. This might be reviews, activities, or just something on the silly side. For example …

From the dawn of humanity, people have been asking one another the same, age-old question: if you could have any super power, what would it be? It’s a question which defines us—it reveals what sort of people we are deep down inside. What would we do if we had powers no other human possess? Would we use them for good or ill, to show off or in secret, for our own gain or to help others? Either way, it’s a great thought experiment.

For me, this is a tough choice, one not to be taken lightly. Ever since I was a young lad, I’ve considered this question. As it stands, I’ve got a couple in the front-runner category: the ability to spin around and suddenly be wearing whatever outfit I desired or the ability to touch something and restore it to brand-new condition. Think of the possibilities (and how much money you could save on clothing or electronics)!

However, having given earnest thought to the matter, I’ve decided, when all is said and done, I’d choose the ability to pause time. Being able to read whole libraries of books and write the same in a relative instant is too great a power to pass up. Even if I could’t use digital devices during the time freeze (I mean come on, it’s not like we’re talking about magic here), I still think such a gift would be more than worth it. Chores would suddenly be a breeze, not to mention the potential for some epic pranks.

Barring the ability to stop time, I’d still be happy with either of the other two; at least they’d be great party tricks, and who couldn’t use a few more of those?

How about you, have you given the idea much thought? How would you use your amazing new powers?

Hey Creatives, what is the number one super power (or top two) you wish you had and why? Let us know in the comments below.
